There are growing numbers of Grand Union Canal images in the Online Media Archive, including a comprehensive set taken by our late member, Hugh Compton, in the 1970s and 1980s on the Regent's Canal. This was at a time when the canal was unloved, and the collection includes both the 1974 boat rally at City Road Basin, and the Queen Mother's visit to Little Venice in 1975, both of which played their part in its revival.
Additions and amendments to the captions, or the order of the images, would be gratefully received, as ever.
