The latest set of Bertram Baxter images are from Worcestershire and Shropshire, and include some taken in 1956 at the Horsehay Ironworks (1755 – 1984) in Shropshire. They show plateway track and wagons still in use, and Bertram commented the system was only scrapped around eight years later. Is this the last example of a working plateway?
