Dennis Hadley took 40 colour slides of the canal in the 1970s, as restoration was beginning, and these are now available to view. Railway Line Plans: Great Central Railway

Recent additions to the surveys include the GCR London Extension from Annesley to Nottingham, and the GCR line from Chester (Northgate) to Hawarden Bridge (there are two plans showing the approaches to Hawarden Bridge, before and after the Dee Marsh triangle was constructed in the early 1900s). The are also plans of the GCR branches serving the Wrexham coalfield.

Railway Line Plans

The Society was recently gifted a collection of over 2,000 railway surveys of various vintages, mainly at a scale of 2 chains to the inch (1:1584). They were scanned in a number of sections, that we are in the process of stitching together. The first survey plans are now online for Greenore, and for the Carnforth - Wennington line.
