Buscot Lock. August 1992

Built in 1790 when the Thames and Severn Canal joined the Thames at Inglesham, the high tolls at this lock charged by Edward Loveden Loveden of Buscot Park was one of the reasons for the failure of the T&S and the construction of the North Wilts Canal to bypass it.Buscot Lock.
