Epping Station c.1906 (EPP @ 16m 39ch)
The station was opened by the GER in 1865. This view from c. 1906 is looking south towards the station with a train for Ongar departing. Since 1949 services south from the station have been provided by London Transport (now TfL) but until 1957 BR continued running trains over the section of track in the image to Ongar. From 1957 to 1994 LT operated this service and it is now the Epping Ongar heritage railway.
