Last Broad Gauge train to the west near Teignmouth at 3;15 pm on Friday 20 May 1892. (MLN1 c 209m) Note alternate sleepers have been cut to a short length and the ballast cleared ready for the switch to standard gauge which took place over the weekend. Next to the centre post is a hand-signalman cautioning the driver of the track works.
