Built by Borsig of Berlin in July 1914 for the SER main line services to a Wainwright design that had been modified by both Robinson and Maunsell. Pictured heading the Souther Railway's 10:40 am Charing Cross to Hastings service in Spring 1923 near the site of Petts Wood station (opened 1928).
