Grid Ref: SJ 8337 9756 [RD-052-680]. 78 yards (70m) long. The rock wall on the far side of the sunken barge was probable part of the 293m long original tunnel that extended back to Lock 92 but was opened out in stages, leaving only the section under Deansgate.
